V Coil Helicoil kit for repairing damaged thread in the Mini gearbox casing where the magnetic sump plug (DAM7335) screws in.

Helical insert is made of coiled wire. Another common name is screw thread insert (STI), many users call them all by the brand name and trademark Heli-coil. 

The insert is inserted into a tapped hole larger than the required finished size of thread.
Used for repairing damaged threads or to give weaker materials greater threaded strength.
