We initially aimed for Jenvey TB 118mm long DCOE style throttle bodies (42mm ID). However, these required bonnet modifications for clearance. To achieve the necessary clearance, Jenvey supplied replacement THS45i 91mm long throttle bodies (42mm ID). These, even with trumpets, provided sufficient space and injector placement! For precise fueling, the system utilises a throttle potentiometer, which relays throttle position information to the ECU.
The injectors feature O-ring seals for a secure fit within the throttle bodies. We used silicone spray to aid installation without damaging the seals. The fuel rail then sits behind the injectors, supplying fuel and holding them in place.
As you can see, the trumpets sit close to the slam panel. While running without air filters might seem appealing for aesthetics, it significantly reduces engine lifespan. We recommend air filter socks for everyday use.
